2015 Hottest Year On Record!

Yesterday, NOAA reported that 2015 was the hottest year on record breaking the previous record of 2014 as the hottest year on record. Global warming is becoming more and more of a threat but it saddens me that so many politicians just ignore global warming as a threat at all.

I understand that there are other pressing issues at hand but we shouldn't ignore this long-term threat and do as much as we can - each and every one of us. I'm guilty of this too - My carbon footprint is probably quite high and I don't recycle or re-use as much as I should.

But I'll make an effort to do so from now on. I'll start with 2 small ways:-

  1. Reduce my use of paper towels and switch to cloth napkins and re-use the paper towels I can when they are used
  2. Recycle paper and gallon milk plastics

What I've Read Recently: Trump, Bedtime Regrets and More

Heidi Klum to Donald Trump: Every Woman Is a “10” :- Recently I've been watching Donald Trump in the news a lot and I've been very put-off by his attitude towards women and his bombastic nature. I loved Heidi Klum's response - that you can't attach a number to a women.

The Post-Bedtime Regret Every Parent Has Felt | Babble: This one is so true - so many days I've been impatient with my daughter and then at bedtime when she's cuddling in my arms and I'm rocking and singing to her, I'm calm and I feel bad - I should have been more gentler and spent more time with her. I should be more patient.

Well said.

Who Is Really Owed an Apology Here: Ann Romney or Hilary Rosen? | Strollerderby

I've been watching this debate on TV these last few days and it's so stupid. I happened to be watching TV at the moment that Ms. Rosen said those words and I agreed with her - I got the spirit of what she was saying - work as in working outside the house. And I agreed with her. It's hard for Mrs. Romney to relate to the average working middle-class mother.

The whole thing has been blown out of proportion and is ridiculous when we should be focussing on the real issues here.

Slid off again!

The last few weeks have been extremely busy and I have not spent much time on the computer at all. So I have not been blogging much - hope t...
